Simulation Simplified at the Victorian Translational SIMposium

Simulation Simplified at the Victorian Translational SIMposium

Last week, the Simulation Simplified team had the privilege of attending the Victorian Simulation Translational SIMposium as a sponsor.

It was an incredible day of ideas, energy, and connection. We were blown away by the creativity and commitment of the simulation community—and especially by how many people are already using Visually Enhanced Mental Simulation (VEMS) to support their teams.

Throughout the day, we met inspiring clinicians, educators, and leaders who shared how they’re adapting VEMS in their own settings—from emergency departments and wards to primary care and education programs. Many told us how this simple approach has opened doors to more flexible, accessible simulation.

But one theme kept coming up in conversation…

🌀 Laminating. So. Much. Laminating.

Over and over, people shared stories of spending hours cutting, printing, and laminating to create their own tabletop materials. We couldn’t help but smile—because that’s exactly why Simulation Simplified exists.

Our purpose has always been clear:
👉 To make it simple to get started with VEMS.
👉 To save educators time and energy.
👉 To let teams spend less time laminating and more time simulating.

Every conversation at our booth reaffirmed that mission. There’s a growing movement toward simpler simulation—and we’re excited to help make that transition even easier.

We left the SIMposium feeling inspired, grateful, and more committed than ever to supporting the incredible people who make healthcare simulation happen.

So, to everyone who stopped by our booth—thank you. Your ideas, enthusiasm, and stories remind us exactly why we do what we do.
